Pinwheels pop up around school

Many students were pleasantly surprised when, upon arriving at school last week, they were greeted by multitudes of colorful pinwheels. These pinwheels dot the grassy areas and planter sections in between buildings, brightening the day of many a passerby.
The decorative pieces were put up by Mr. Carlos Lopez, staff member, and Rabbi Heather Miller, Dean of Student Life.
“Dr. Fuller thought it would be nice to do something nice for the Farch season (February/March) since it is a large stretch of school without a break in between,” Miller said.

Miller and Mr. Reggie Rios, facilities manager, took the initiative.
“We put pinwheels around campus to bring a smile to people’s faces and some cheer to the environment,” Miller said. “Many people said that they enjoyed it and some brought home the pinwheels or gave them to others as a generous gesture.”
Students greatly appreciate the decorations.
“I got so excited when I saw them at school last week,” Shaina Sarafian ’12 said.
