Lindsey Davidson ’11, Co-Spotlight Artist this month, explores the concept of interconnecting stories and facial features in her artwork.

“I look for faces that tell a story, and by drawing them I explore the emotions that they evoke,” Davidson said.

In addition to capturing the depth and feeling of complex subjects, Davidson’s pieces reveal the progress that she has made as an art student at Milken.

“I have learned about myself as an artist, and have gained experience in the process,” she said.

Davidson’s undeniable passion for art has been cultivated through Mixed Media, Drawing and AP Studio Art courses at Milken as well as her personal crafty hobbies.

“I have always enjoyed creating things, not necessarily just recreating images on a canvas. Although my preferred medium is graphite, I love and have a great appreciation for sculpture, pottery and knit work,” Davidson said.
