For the first time ever, Milken is now offering a study abroad program for sophomores and juniors in addition to the Tiferet Israel Fellowship. Students will now have the choice of studying in Florence, Barcelona, London or Sydney. Milken has connected with a different campus in each country that has dorms and classrooms for our students.
Students must have a 3.0 average to be able to qualify for the programs. Each program will begin at the end of January and end in late May. Whether students are in Florence, Barcelona, London or Sydney, they will all take an elective course and learn about the history of their host country. Twice a week, students will travel to museums and visit neighboring cities to experience the country’s culture. In addition, their final exams will take place abroad.
During the weekends, students will have the choice of connecting with a local Jewish family and spending Shabbat with them. This is a nice way for students to experience life as a local and still celebrate Shabbat in a family setting. At night, students will be given free time for two hours to explore the city and get dinner. If students choose not to go out at night, each school is equipped with a cafeteria offering delicious choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Sophomores and juniors, get excited for the opportunity of a lifetime that most high schoolers can only dream of having. Make sure to sign up quickly as there is limited space for each program. Talk to your friends and parents before it is too late!
