The Q+A- two students, two teachers, each month. This month we sat down with the assistant to the office of college counseling and academic advising, Mr. Wiesinger.

What is your hobby:

I travel big time. I’ve been to 24 countries in the past 10 years. I am going to Machu Pichu in July. My partner and I do at least one or two big trips every year. It’s all about the cultural experience.

Where is your favorite place you’ve traveled to:

South Africa.

One thing I can’t live without:

Happiness

Common misconception about me:

That I’m too nice. I can be direct when I need to be.

Cat or dog person:

Dog Person

Celebrity crush:

Julia Roberts has always been one of my favorite actresses.

Favorite part of being an assistant to the office of college counseling and academic advising:

Working with the students.

Cal State University Los Angeles

Do you believe you are the brains behind the college counseling operation:

I wouldn’t say the brains, but I am definitely an integral part of the team.

What job would you have if you weren’t an assistant to office of college counseling and academic advising:

I would be some type of a marketing manager because of my background in marketing and fashion merchandising

Which movie has made you cry:

Lots of them. My all-time favorite is Steel Magnolias.

Chocolate or Vanilla:  

Vanilla.
