Got Talent?

Lights, camera, action! Students at Milken now have an opportunity to showcase their talents at Milken’s first talent show.
Over the summer, Sanam Kohanim ’15 envisioned a program where Milken students could take a break from their busy schedule and take part in something bigger than themselves. This program would allow students to help the greater community while simultaneously having fun. Chanel Broshinsky ‘15, Neiv Toledano ’15 and Sarah Wininger ’15 joined with Kohanim to create “Milken’s Got Talent.”
The show, taking place March 2, 2014, will be benefiting EARS, a non-profit organization that provides hearing aids to deaf and hard of hearing children around the world. The proceeds will also support the anti- bullying charity Fashion for Compassion, not to be mistaken with Fashion with Compassion.
Most of the show’s buzz has been coming from the mysterious prizes to the winners. One confirmed prize is four tickets to NBC’s The Voice.
Faculty members Sonny Ahad, Damon Scoville and Monica Daranyi will be three of the show’s five judges. The other two will be actor Owain Yeoman, and a producer of The Voice, Cori Malin.
Auditions for those interested in showcasing their talents will be held on January 13th and 16th.
