Yes- its true!!! I am a Halloween baby!!!

What can I say??? I was born on Halloween just a few years ago in Jerusalem, Israel.
Halloween was never celebrated in Israel because it is not a Jewish holiday.

I actually never even heard of Halloween until I came to study at UCLA at the age of 23, after my service in the Israeli Army. Once at UCLA I learned about this holiday for the first time. I thought it was a surprise birthday party for me at first 🙂

I agree that Halloween has no place in a Jewish school. Feel free to wish me Yom Huledet Samech (Happy birthday) on October 31, but don’t be “dressed up.” Just good wishes for health & happiness and hugs will do!
