Golf team preview

Milken’s golf team has attracted a slew of new players in the past few seasons, and the sport that goes relatively unnoticed at Milken and has had smaller squads in the past should no longer be overlooked.
Milken is home to some very good golfers and now sports a team of over 10 players. In contrast to the small teams of the past, the rapidly growing golf program at Milken can be attributed to Coach Dan Brink.
The team is gaining momentum and looks forward to a promising season, which is led by star player Ilan Chesed ’13. Chesed joined the team as a freshman and immediately became the number one player on the team.
Todd Rubenstein ’12 and Noah Sall ’12 will be the captains for the team, and they have both had success throughout their entire high school career and hope to finish with a strong senior season. David Lauterbach ’12 and Jonah Gadinsky ’12 have also shown signs of stardom throughout the past few seasons.
Although the golf program does not allow spectators, students should not ignore this year’s experienced team.
