On Saturday, January 21, Milken’s varsity boys and girls soccer teams will play against the Beverly High Normans. The double header will support the third annual MS Awareness Night, benefiting both cancer research and multiple sclerosis.

“This is our third year doing the event, and each year it’s bigger and bigger and more entertaining. This year our Milken team is division seven while the Beverly High team is division four, which makes it really exciting to watch,” captain Erica Tobin ’12 said.

The varsity girls soccer team is 7-3 so far and looks forward to taking on the Normans.

This year’s team gets along well, which translates into better play on the field. In addition, they are incredibly hardworking and focused.

While the event is centered around playing soccer, this year the event has much more to offer. Alumni Shashana Rosen ’11 and her squad, ‘The Laker Girls,” will perform at halftime. The event will also include a silent auction, airbrushing stations, food stands from local vendors and live bands.

The soccer teams and students hope to see everyone supporting this cause and cheering for their team in the stands.

Kickoff is at 7:00 PM at Beverly Hills High School.
