Mrs. Pnina Benperlas is a new Hebrew teacher who instructs three honors classes, one middle school class and one ulpan class.
Growing up in Kiryat Shmonah, located in northern Israel, Benperlas always felt she had the passion to make a difference in the lives of young people. Now a teacher of 30 years, Benperlas spends her spare time re-reading Love and Darkness, dancing, listening to Simon and Garfunkel and hiking the Malibu trails. Over the summer, she traveled to Texas to visit her granddaughter.
Benperlas wants all her students to feel comfortable and prepared in her Hebrew class. Therefore, she makes herself available after school, helps each child with organizing his or her schoolwork so assignments are completed on time and encourages students to ask questions.
Benperlas believes in Milken’s strong Jewish foundation, high academic standards, meaningful philosophy and mission statement. She is looking forward to her career at Milken Community High School.
