Beginning in the Fall of 2017, Dr. Nick Holton, Milken’s Director of Positive Psychology, will no longer be working at Milken. Holton will instead be starting up his Positive Psychology curriculum at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Holton, who attended Michigan State University while studying for all three of his degrees, is excited to be working at his rival school in order to teach the students at the University of Michigan his knowledge of Positive Psychology. The administration is unsure who will be teaching the popular Positive Psychology elective at Milken next year. “I am sad to leave Milken, but I am excited to further my career and knowledge at the University of Michigan next year. It’s also nice to be closer to home,” Holton told The Roar in an exclusive interview. “I really hope Milken will keep the Positive Psychology elective. It was really successful this year.”
Amanda Hartstein ‘17 recently committed to attend University of Michigan as part of the class of 2021 and is very excited to continue to learn from Dr. Holton as a Positive Psychology major. “When I decided to be a Positive Psychology major at Michigan, I didn’t know Holton would be my teacher. Now I’m even more excited to begin my studies next year.”
10Although the student body is sad that Dr. Holton is leaving, Milken wishes him the best of luck in Ann Arbor next year.
