The Q+A: two students, one teacher, each month. This month we sat down with senior Caroline Lowy.
Common misconception about me: That I’m scary.
Movie you’ve seen most: “School of Rock,” featuring Johnny Depp. I mean not Johnny Depp, Jack Black, JACK BLACK!
One thing I can’t live without: The ring from Lord of the Rings, a.k.a “My Precious.”
What you wanted to be at age 10: At 13 I wanted to be an ethnic Jazz singer.
Teacher pet peeve: When they are trying to explain something but just explain it more irrationally and I pretend to understand anyway just to make them feel good.
Procrastination technique: Walking down boulevards and foreseeing accidents that may or may not happen due to reckless drivers and ugly humans.
Hobby: High-fiving and unconstructive feedback.
Favorite thing about being a senior: When you walk anywhere and there is a sea of people that parts… Because I am the man and I lay down the law. I stickittodamoniyoses. That’s from “School of Rock.”
Movie star you wish you could take to prom: I would say Ursula from the “Little Mermaid” because she has a fancy dress on already.
Topic you love but wouldn’t talk about in a college interview: The way the ocean styles my hair. I like that.
Favorite class you’ve taken at Milken: Definitely Hebrew Honors 5.
Funniest Hebrew word: Lam lam.
Most purchased item in Student Store: The jewelry. I especially like the diamond plated hamsa necklace. Beautiful work, Fern.
Favorite Milken Trend: I would say when I started wearing crazy pants, everyone started wearing crazy pants. A.k.a I started that. I also invented Converse and suits, if you didn’t know.
Where do you sit at lunch: I sit in between the tree 500 paces to left and the tree 9,000 paces to the right, beyond the point of no return.
If you could define yourself as a fruit, what would it be: I hate fruit. Maybe an un-pitted olive. Some people say I look like one as well.
What historical figure do you identify most with: Jesus, because I used to look exactly like him. But much like Jesus, I adapted and changed to the times that I lived in. I also chopped off my hair. But it still lives on inside of me. My beard is still there. It is very faint. I bleached it.
Starbucks or Coffee Bean: Neither, I actually enjoy Cup O Joe. It’s this other place.
Explain your favorite type of weather: I like when the fog rises up from the hill and the mysteries of life are all revealed within themselves and within myself as well.
If you had to leave America, where would you go: Uzbekistan.
Miley or Hannah: Miley, come on, hello.
Favorite quote: “There is no such thing as bad ideas just good ideas that go horribly wrong.” I got that from 30 Rock.
Describe Milken in one word: Tantalizing.
What will you miss most about Milken when you graduate: The wonderful feeling of waking up to the sun not shining at 6:30 in the morning.
Additional comments: Peace and love, Milken. You WILL remember me.

1. brilliant
2. crazy
3. weird
4. all of the above
If you answered 1, she gets that from me.
If you answered 2, she gets that all from her Dad.
