You may recognize him by his fiery red hair or his graceful sprint to the podium, but Austin Shalit will no longer be your average student here at Milken.
After months of deliberation, Mr. Gary Weisserman, head of school, and faculty members have come to the conclusion that it was time to make Shalit Milken’s new Head of Technology. In this position, Shalit will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the students and administrators.
“I’m really excited to start collaborating with the rest of the department and bringing my ideas to Milken” said Shalit.
Shalit hopes to work closely with both students and his staff to implement a new iPad program. The program will allow students to carry a tablet containing all the required textbooks and other reading materials for that year.
“I remember what it was like to be a student, carrying around a backpack filled with books and board markers, so I just want to make things easier for the Milken student” Shalit said.
We at the Roar are very excited for Shalit and cannot wait for him to bring his fiery passion back to Milken.
