During this holiday season, many students are eagerly awaiting their Hannukah presents, however, not the students of “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work”. This non-profit charity, run by students Leila Aframian ’15, Andrew Binafard ’16, and Alex Mosch ’16, will be collaborating with Milken for a holiday toy drive to benefit the children of Children’s’ Hospital Los Angeles.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work, or TMTD for short, is a team of young adults from Milken, Brentwood, and the University of Michigan who since the summer of 2012 have been holding fundraisers to benefit the greater Los Angeles community.
Aframian began the charity during her Sophomore year. Since then, she has been working along side Binifard and Mosch on events that have garnered over $7,000 in donations.
“We at Teamwork Makes the Dream work have noticed that there is a ripple effect for change. People will ride a wave that even the smallest team generated—and that is when we see progress” says Aframian ’15.
All students and teachers are encouraged to bring gently used toys to the drive. It will be held from December 9th to the 13th during morning carpool.
