Mrs. Linda Riff has joined the Milken Administration as the Assistant Head of School for Finance and Operations. Her responsibilities include finances, technology, risk management and human resources.
“I find the variety of things I do exciting and challenging,” Riff said.
However, Riff has not always had a home in Los Angeles. She was born in Oklahoma, moved to the Navajo Indian reserve at a young age, then to California. Eventually, she moved to the Bay Area where she lived around the East Bay for ten years.
After attending Diablo Valley College for two years, she transferred to Sonoma State University where she received her Bachelors degree. Soon after she earned her Masters in Non-Profit Administration from the University of San Francisco.
She then began working at Tehiyah Day School and later moved on to work at the Drew School. There she worked as Assistant Head of School for Finance and Operations and gained eighteen years of experience, thus preparing her for her new job at Milken.
“The work that I do makes a difference, and it is important for me to make a difference,” Riff said.
Not only is Riff passionate about her work, but she also makes sure to take time out of her day to spend with her family. After moving to Los Angeles with her husband, Son in Law, and granddaughter, she spends her spare time going to Disneyland with her family. When the weather is right, she also enjoys driving around in her convertible.
