This year, the Cohen family will have four kids playing varsity basketball, something that surely has never happened at Milken thus far. Shoshana ’12, Sorelle ’13, Coby ’13 and Avia ’15 all made varsity this year and, in doing so, are setting a record that will probably stand at Milken for a long time.

On a freezing Saturday night, Milken’s boys varsity soccer team took on their bitter rival, the New Community Jewish High School (New Jw) Jaguars. After 80 minutes, the game ended in a scoreless draw.

Last year, the athletic department introduced live streaming video broadcasts to Milken sporting events. Over the past year, the broadcasting booth at the top of the gym has captured some incredible Milken moments.

As the NFL season passes the halfway mark and teams are fighting for a spot in the playoffs, the bottom-feeders of the league are in a race of their own. At the end of the regular season, the team with the worst record will have won the “Suck for Luck” sweepstakes.
