Right before Milken students departed on winter break, Alex Weil ’14, Joshua Simmons ’12, Rachel Gross ’04, Jeremy Vanderhall ’99 and Debbi Petrasek Brown, Milken parent, were announced as the winners of the “Milken Moment” contest. Each received an iPad 2 as a reward.

The Debate Team is open to all students, and holds its practices during lishma and Thursdays during lunch. Although there is a semester class entitled Speech and Debate, one need not be a part of this class to join the team.

200 Milken students participate in Gay-Straight Alliance Day of Silence

On Friday, November 18, almost 200 Milken students participated in the Day of Silence. The Day of Silence is meant to help people reflect on the challenges faced by people all over the world who are too afraid to come out as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, or transgender.
